Fees
Psychological services are billed at $160 to $220 per therapy hour (50 minutes) with 10 minutes reserved for record keeping and case management. The initial appointment is 2 hours in duration. Dr. Town’s fees may vary depending on the services provided.
For psychological assessments, reports and consultations, fees are $220 per hour.
Payment in full is required at the end of each appointment. Receipts will be provided for insurance purposes.
Insurance
Psychological and counselling services are not covered by MSI (Medical Services Insurance) but many insurance plans do cover psychological services. We recommend that you contact your insurance company to see if you can be reimbursed for the costs of seeing a psychologist or psychotherapist. We are generally not able to directly bill your plan. Please be aware that some plans require a physician referral.
Health-care expenses such as psychological services not covered by insurance are tax-deductible, so please keep receipts for your tax records.
Cancellation Policy
Please provide 48 business hours’ notice if you are unable to attend your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be billed at the full fee. Monday appointments must be cancelled by noon on Thursday.
Payment Options
We accept e-transfer or cash. Unfortunately, cheques are not accepted.
